The Challenge
Shooting Star CC approached Rade to create its first digital presence, beginning with the development of a distinctive new logo and brand identity.
The challenge was to translate the company’s offering into a professional, engaging website that would clearly showcase its ranges of shotgun cartridges and clay pigeons. As a new website, it needed to establish a strong visual identity while presenting products in a clear and accessible way.
Crucially, the site also needed an easy-to-use content management system, giving the Shooting Star CC team the flexibility to keep product information and website content up to date as the business developed and its ranges evolved.
Our Solution
Following discussions with the client, Rade developed a distinctive logo and visual identity before creating the website.
A key focus was improving product discovery, making it easier for visitors to navigate Shooting Star’s cartridge range and identify products suited to their needs. The site combines strong visual impact with detailed technical information, supported by a dynamic homepage featuring video of the manufacturing process.
A cartridge brand selector and intuitive help tool use simple dropdown choices to guide visitors through the range, while bespoke cartridge locator functionality provides further assistance. Built on Umbraco, the streamlined site makes product exploration simple while keeping content easy to manage and update.

The result is a streamlined customer journey that makes discovering the right product simple and intuitive.
From the moment visitors arrive, clear navigation guides them towards the cartridge and clay ranges, while engaging video content introduces the brand and manufacturing process. The cartridge selector and dropdown-based help tool then guide customers through their options, helping them identify products that match their specific requirements. Bespoke locator functionality provides an additional route to finding the right cartridge.
Every stage of the journey is designed to reduce complexity and make product discovery effortless, creating a more engaging experience from initial exploration through to identifying the most suitable product.

Project Scope
Shooting Star CC approached Rade to devise a logo and design and develop their first website. The website needed to provide a showcase of their ranges of shotgun cartridges and clay pigeons, with content management capabilities.
Solution
Based on discussions with the client, a selection of logo ideas were presented to Shooting Star for their consideration. This process included selecting colours and fonts so as to define the overall styling for the business. With the branding process complete and the client in full agreement, the website design was started.
This needed to encompass both a strong visual presence as well and provide technical information about the product ranges. A strong homepage was designed, featuring a video showing the cartridge manufacturing process as well as portals through to be cartridge and clays.
A cartridge brand selector and a simple help tool, using a series of dropdown choices, assists the visitor in exploring the range and in finding cartridges that fit their requirements.
The site was developed using the Umbraco content management system and using Rade’s preferred framework to provide a good foundation for the site. In addition some modest custom development was included to produce the cartridge locator. The end result is a colourful site with a streamlined user experience. Updates are simple using Umbraco, allowing the client to easily update their product range as new products come on to the market.
