Rade sponsors EFFP conference

Rade are delighted to provide sponsorship to the 2012 EFFP Food and Farming Conference to be held at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London in November.

The theme for this year’s conference is “More with less – driving performance, sustainably”. Taking on one of the biggest challenges facing the industry today; how to product more food for a growing population with less resource the conference will see many of the key players in the sector gather together to discuss the various issues raised.

Rade Digital sees huge opportunities to drive efficiency through effective and innovative use of online technologies, as well as in educating and alerting the world to the challenges faced by agriculture and food sectors.

New site for Linx Printing Technologies

Rade Digital are delighted to announce the launch of the new website for Linx Printing Technologies. Completed on-time and on-budget, the website utilises Rade’s Enterprise Site Manager content management system (ESM) to deliver a multi-lingual global web presence to promote the Linx range of continuous inkjet and laser printers.

Developed to work across multiple platforms and featuring responsive design, the website gives the Linx team complete control as well as providing valuable feedback for their marketing team.

Acting as the project manager and working closely with the Linx team, together with Linx’s brand and SEO partners, Rade were able to deliver a system within a very tight timeframe.

Phil Nichols, Linx Global Marketing Manager commented: "Working closely with the Rade team my digital marketing specialist pushed them hard to deliver what was required and Rade rose to the challenge; also pushing back to us challenging some of our requirements but at all times it was a friendly and professional relationship focused on delivering the project."

He added:"With an ambitious timeline and a tight budget, Rade delivered. Our new platform within one week of launch is outperforming the old one. I would have no reservations in recommending Rade to any business looking to develop or enhance their online profile."

Responsive Design

How do you make your website look good on a variety of screen sizes and devices? The answer lies in a technology called responsive design.

As web designers and developers of 16 years’ experience, Rade has witnessed the shift from the relatively small screens of desktop PCs to the ultra-high resolution of wide screen monitors; at the same time allowing for various screen sizes on notebooks. Then, the tablet and smartphone arrived with the added consideration of what happens when a user turns their phone or tablet on its side?

Responsive design allows your website to respond to each visitor’s preference – based on their device, screen size and orientation. There’s no need to build several versions of your website to ensure customers can access the content that they need. A single site will automatically respond to the equipment in use, presenting entirely different layouts of the same site.

Responsive design is not simply about resizing images for adjustable screen resolutions – it’s a new way of thinking about how to target your customers by providing the information that they need in a format that fits their viewing medium. For instance, a mobile version of your web site could remove oversized imagery whilst providing focused content and simpler navigation.

Working with the Linx team, Rade will develop a fully content managed website using the Enterprise Site Manager (ESM) CMS with social networking integration and data capture. The site will feature an interactive timeline of Linx’s history and a blog.

To boost the celebrations, Linx are asking its customers new and old for details of their oldest printer for a chance to win one of Linx’s latest models, the CJ400. Rade Launch Null Lox microsite for Gleadell Agriculture

Gleadell had already approached Rade with a view to redeveloping their corporate website; however priorities dictated that the creation of a microsite to help promote their Null-Lox spring malting barley should come first.

Aimed fairly and squarely at the brewing industry, the requirements of the Null-Lox microsite were quite specific, with a strong focus on varieties and marketing. The aim was to deliver a website with it’s own look and feel, but clearly identifiable as part of Gleadell.

Built on Rade’s own ESM content management system, the Null Lox site formed the first phase of a three part development project encompassing the corporate website and another microsite for new acquisition Dunns of Long Sutton.
